Design and dimensions
The Taisor keeps under 4,000 mm in length (about 3,995 mm) with a 2,520 mm wheelbase, giving it city-friendly size but reasonable cabin space. Styling highlights include a trapezoidal grille with chrome, connected LED tail lamps, 16-inch alloys, roof rails, and a slightly coupe-like sloping roofline for a sporty stance.
Powertrain and performance
Two main petrol engines are offered: a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated unit (~89 bhp, 113 Nm) and a 1.0-liter turbo (~99 bhp, 147.6 Nm). Gearbox choices include 5-speed manual, AMT for the 1.2, and 6-speed torque-converter automatic for the turbo; the 1.2 is also available with CNG (manual). Focus is on drivability and efficiency rather than outright power.
Interior and tech
The cabin shares its basic layout with the Maruti Fronx but gets Toyota badging and trims. Depending on variant, features can include a touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, heads-up display, 360° camera, automatic climate control, wireless charging, rear AC vents, and 60:40 split rear seats. Boot space is around 308 liters.
Safety
Recent updates add six airbags as standard on all variants, along with ABS with EBD, vehicle stability control, hill-hold assist, reverse parking sensors, and three-point seatbelts for all seats. As of the latest info, the model has not yet been rated by NCAP.
